We have 250 employees, including 150 lawyers and civil-law notaries.

During the seventies the art collection of Boekel De Nerée was started by art lovers working at Boekel. The lawyers Gabbe Scheltema and Jan Willem Knipscheer started this initiative. Initially, the aim was to furnish the former office of Boekel van Empel & Drilling in the P.C. Hooftstraat in Amsterdam. Art gained a prominent place in the policy of Boekel De Nerée and resulting in an art committee being established. Currently the art committee consists of Pieter Ariëns Kappers amongst others.
Already during the seventies Boekel had many artists as client. One of them was the American artist Viktor IV. Viktor IV lived on an old freighter in the Amstel which was surrounded by artificial islands where chickens and goats lived. Most of his work was created in Amsterdam. Some works of Viktor IV are still part of the collection of Boekel De Nerée.
Currently, the collection consists of about 250 works. This collection is complemented with new work annually. About half of the work consists of works on paper. Furthermore, the collection of Boekel consists of works on oil and canvas and a limited number of sculptures. The majority of the collection is non figurative and by Dutch artist or - artists living in the Netherlands.
